28 weeks* and 3 hour glucose test...

Well, I had my 3 hour glucose test on Thursday morning. I got to the hospital at 8 a.m., they said well you have an appointmet with us at 8, but none of your paperwork is here. They had to wait for my doctor's office to open. By this time, I'm already so hungry because I had to fast for 12 hours, 12 hours with no food wasn't too bad, 12 hours without water, was! Well, finally at 8:45 I was able to have my first round of blood drawn. They took 2 viles the first time, I drank 10 ounces of the glucose drink, then, every hour for 3 hours, I had a vile drawn. It wasn't too bad. I had a good nurse who took my blood, it was just boring AND the cafeteria is by the place where they draw your blood, so for 3 hours, I smelled all the food. I was starving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Friday morning around 8:45 a.m., my doctor's office called. Instantly, I was worried because normlly, the doctor won't call unless something is wrong. Well, as soon as I answered the phone, the nurse said she had good news. I passed all 4 test by over 35 points each!!! I was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy to hear this! I don't have gestational diabetes, what a relief. Made my day a lot better up until the stupid breakfast at the hotel. That's another story in itself. By the way, I'm in Georgia until tomorrow for our nieces graduation ceremony and party. She graduated last night with 475 other people and she was 38th in her whole class. That's an awesome accomplishment!

Well, one last thing, on Monday, I'll be 29 weeks so here is my 28 week belly shot from the hotel room's mirror, haha.

Glucose Test :(

So, Monday I had my 1 hour glucose test. Well, I failed it by 4 points. I was so angry. I wanted to cry in the office, but I waited until I got to my car. Well, now I have to take the 3 hour test. How that works is next Wednesday starting at 8 p.m., I have to fast. Fast for 12 hours. I can't even drink water. At 8 a.m., they nurse will draw my blood after fasting. Then, I drink a "sweet" drink that is for this test, then, for three hours, my blood is drawn every hour. They say a lot of times people almost pass out from fasting and having 4 viles of blood being drawn. I'm sooo nervous. As soon as my test is done, Kevin and I are heading to Georgia. It could be a long, draining day!

Also, he measured my stomach with his "measuring" tape - I'm measuring a week ahead. (28 weeks)

25 weeks*

I think that I might officially be losing the morning sickness. I am still very exhausted in the evening and I still have a little of that metallic taste in my mouth, but I have not thrown up in 3 weeks, today!!! Kevin said I'm acting a lot more alive now too. Kevin

is gone for the weekend so he has no clue, but I got up at 6 a.m. and cleaned for 7 hours. I cleaned the whole entire house. Honestly, I don't think I've cleaned at all since I got pregnant. Kevin has and I really felt like I needed to make everything look perfect. I hope he is surprised!!!
