Wishes For the Holidays!!!!

My cooperating teacher gave me the honor of decorating a bulletin board in her classroom with a Christmas/Winter theme! I was super excited when she asked me to do this! I am normally not creative, but I was willing to reach deep into my creative thinking and come up with something. I found a super neat idea on the internet and I wanted to run with it. It took about an hour to actually decorate the board and then the next week, on huge Christmas bulbs, I had the students write their wishes for the holidays. I only have the first step posted, but I will soon upload the photo with their actual work. It turned out awesome!!! I had a lot of students say, "I wish for an XBox." - a few boys said they wish for a gazillion dollars, but the wrote it in their own wording. Too cute!!!

I got to babysit LillyBug tonight!!!

Lilly is such a precious little one. She slept almost the whole entire time. I took tons of pictures!! She got her diaper changed, she drank a bottle and slept!!

"Born a Cleveland Browns Fan Just Like My Daddy!!" - One day old!!

Waiting for our new bedroom organizer to come in.

Kevin and I ordered a new sleigh bed heardboard and bedframe. For the past 5 months, our bed and boxsprings are on the floor and we've finally decided it's time to get a bedframe. Also, from LTD, we ordered a wood, bedroom organizer. I am going to use this as my "dresser" and then Kevin will use the actual dresser for all of his stuff.. The organizer looks exactly like this, but it's more of a maple wood color.



Our closet is so tiny that he uses the bedroom one and I use the one in Andrew's room. Too bad we couldn't add on to this apartment and make it a three bedroom house :) - that would be sweet!

So, today was a great day! I didn't have any of my classes because of Veteran's Day! I got to sleep in which I might add, felt great. I did a little homework and then Kevin wanted to go to Troy to do a little shopping. We went to Good Will, Kohls, Meijers and then headed home. Oh yeah, we filled up the gas tank and it only cost $27.00, yes!!!!! I hope gas stays this low for while.

Wow, why do weekends always have to fly by?!?! I wish they lasted a week or so, that would be perfect.

Well, Friday we got Andrew. We went over to Anna & Al's house for hamburgers and fries, we then watched 'Journey to the Center of the Earth.' It's a 3D movie so it was pretty neat. Then, we had Reese Cup Ice Cream, it was delicious. We then headed home and went to bed super early.

Saturday we got up early because we got enough sleep throughout the night. The three of us ate our cereal and just relaxed around the house for awhile. I surfed the net, did the dishes, started a load of laundry, Kevin started to clean our bedroom and livingroom and Andrew cleaned his room. After all of this, Andrew and I went to the Library, checked out a few books and went to Wal*Mart. I got stuff for lunch and Andrew got baseball cards. Then we watched the OHIO STATE GAME!!! GO BUCKEYES!!!!! I then took a short nap after the game while the guys messed around with baseball cards. After all that, we headed out to look for a headboard and bedframe. We got a sleigh bed headboard. It will be in in two weeks. We can't wait to finally get our bed off of the floor. Yeah :) - Then for the evening excitement, Andrew and I played the game of LIFE. I beat him by a landslide. I retired with $1,000,000 - sweet!!!! We then went to Captain D's for dinner and then Andrew played his playstation for the evening. Kevin and I watched 88 Minutes, it was a good movie, a little freaky.

The last day of the weekend :( - We got up, got ready for church and ate breakfast. Well I had a lovely mishap that started my day off "beautifully" - ha, that was a joke. I was getting ready to sit down, my seat rolled out from under me, my whole bowl of cereal and milk dropped on my pant leg, soaked my church pants, splattered all of the floor and made me laugh. Needless to say, after cleaning up the mess, I didn't even want cereal so I ate FiberOne poptarts. Much better!!

After church, Kevin took Andrew home and he then came back home. I made lunch, we ate, relaxed, watched football, more football & more football. I went to Wal*Mart and got groceries for the week, Kevin went to two meetings. It's now 9:40 and we are just chilling on the couch. We had a great weekend, it just flew by! Darn!!!

Our honeymoon!!!!

Wow, what an amazing honeymoon! Kevin & I went to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg from Saturday, August 16th to Saturday, August 23rd for our honeymoon. We actually went two months after our wedding, but it was just as special as if we left the night of the wedding!!!


For our wedding gift, Kevin's parents gave us a week at Wyndham Vacation Resorts, which was an amazing condo. It was a one bedroom, full kitchen/dining room, living room, huge bathroom with a whirlpool and a cute little deck.

As soon as we got everything settled, we went to Applebees for dinner, we were starving ... and, we also went to WalMart (go figure) to some milk for our breakfast.



Day 1 of our Honeymoon

We went to Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum in Gatlinburg, went shopping on the strip all day and ate a good lunch!!! It was a lot of fun! I saw the Hollywood Wax Museum AFTER Ripleys and ha wished though that we went there. I've always wanted to go to a Wax Museum.

For dinner, we went to Mr. Gatti's Pizza or something like that. We ate pizza and then played in an arcade, it was pretty fun!!!

Day 2:

Today is Monday, we went shopping ALL day!! Kevin got a lot of clothes for school. It was a fun day, tomorrow is my "school clothes shopping" day!

Tonight, we went and watched Cirque de Chine, incredible!! Just look at the pictures and you tell me.

Day 3:

It's Tuesday, Sheena's day of shopping, wow, I never spend money on myself so it was very nice, didn't get a whole lot, but did get a few things. We went to IHOP for breakfast, it was good, but we've since found an amazing place to eat breakfast while we are in Tennessee. It's called, FlapJacks Pancake Cabin. Anyone who knows me knows I don't like pancakes and let me tell you, this place is amazing!!!!!!! Also, this day, we visited the PentHouse Suite at Wyndham where Arnold Palmer & Tom Petty stay. It's crazy huge!!!! That night, we went to a Ripley's Putt-Putt golf course, it was really cute .... and, at the last whole which was difficult, if you got a hole-in-one, you won a free game .... guess who got a hole-in-one .... MEEEE!!! It was soooo exciting!!!!!

Day 4:

Wednesday, I'm sure we either ate breakfast at the condo or went out, I don't remember though. I do know that we went to The Dixie Stampede that night. It was really neat and had great food! We dressed up really cute :)

Day 5:

Today, we got up really early to hike up the Smokey Mountain to Laurel Fall. Today, something happened that we'll never ever forget. We were about .5 miles up the moutain, mind you, this is 2.6 round trip so we just got started, Kevin was just ahead of me and said, "oh my gosh!!!" I said, "what?" and looked ... it was a momma bear coming right at us ... and the bad part, she had three cubs. She was heading towards us very quickly .... I was fliiiiiiiiiiping out!!! We just walked slowly backwards, trying to take pictures w/out the flash disturbing her. After about 5 minutes, she took her cubs and climbed down the mountain. We continued our hike. Later, someone said there was a male black bear, but lucky for us, we didn't run into him .... good thing!!!

Can you see the bear? We were a lot closer, but in order to get the picture, we backed away so the flash didn't make her any more angry than she probably already was...

For lunch, we went to a place that Kevin's dad told us about, The Old Mill, it was a lot like BearsMill, but with great food and lots of shops to go to.

On Thursday evening, we went to WonderWorks which is really a neat place, we only went through it for about an hour and then we had to head to our Dinner Show. If you ever make it to Tennessee, go to Hoot N Holler, it's hilarious!!!!! We loved it!!!!!!

Day 6:

Today is our last, full day to do anything fun and exciting. I slept in today, I was exhausted, after finally getting around, we went back to WonderWorks. It's such a neat place, we can't wait to take Andrew there, he'll love it! We didn't have much more to go through so we went through it rather quickly ... on our way out, we were stopped by a woman, she offered us $100 cash, a free lunch to go listen to a TimeShare speech, we are like sure, we have nothing better to do. We headed there, ate lunch, go a 90 minute speech, got $100 bucks ...... and BOUGHT OUR FIRST BIG THING TOGETHER, A WEEK IN A CONDO, every year for the rest of our lives, our children's lives, their children's lives, etc ... I'm sure you get it. This place is AMAZING!!! It has he 2nd largest indoor water park in the world ... with a retractable roof .... it has 22 swimming pools, a spa, a movie theater, tennis, a view of Bob Parker's mansion (just thought that was neat) - and soooooo much more!! After we were done with the deed and everything, we used our money we made and got a nice dinner in town. I got a sandwich and fries, Kevin got a HUGE steak. It was neat. After all was said and done, we headed back to the condo, packed our bags, loaded them in the car and headed to bed.

Day 7:

We woke up at 7, went to breakfast in Gatlinburg, got the car washed and headed home. We made awesome time, we returned home at 4 p.m. - I am glad to be home, but said that our honeymoon is over :(
